Healing for a nipple piercing typically ranges from 6 to 12 months. Individual healing varies by health, aftercare, and placement. Expect swelling and tenderness early on; follow our cleaning routine and attend check-ins if healing stalls or signs of infection appear.

You’ll feel a sharp pinch during the quick piercing, and some soreness afterwards for several weeks. Pain intensity varies. We use techniques to minimize discomfort, provide topical numbing on request, and offer aftercare tips to control swelling and promote comfort.

For initial nipple piercings we use implant-grade 316L surgical stainless steel jewelry to reduce allergic reactions and support healing. It’s biocompatible and durable; once fully healed you can discuss alternative implant materials or styles with your piercer.

Avoid swimming, soaking in hot tubs, contact sports, or tight garments that rub the area until fully healed. Also limit sexual contact and excessive friction. Follow our aftercare guidance and contact us if irritation, increased pain, or unusual discharge develops.

Clean with sterile saline solution twice daily, gently pat dry with a clean towel, and avoid alcohol or peroxide. Don’t rotate jewelry or remove it during healing. Keep clothing loose, wash hands before touching, and call us if redness, heat, or pus appears.

If the piercing is healed, breastfeeding is generally possible. Many clients remove jewelry while nursing to prevent catching and sterilize the site. If pregnant or planning to breastfeed, discuss timing and potential removal with both your piercer and lactation consultant.
