Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Nostril.
Nostril piercings generally take eight to twelve weeks to heal, but each person heals differently. Follow aftercare instructions, avoid touching or twisting the jewelry, and keep the area clean. If swelling or redness worsens after several weeks, return for evaluation.
You’ll feel a quick, sharp pinch during the piercing followed by mild soreness and swelling for a few days. Pain varies by person; our piercers use techniques to minimize discomfort and provide aftercare guidance to manage healing comfortably.
We recommend waiting until the piercing is fully healed before changing jewelry. Initial 316 surgical steel studs are provided to support healing; premature swaps can introduce bacteria or cause irritation. Schedule a follow-up with us to safely change pieces once healed.
Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, lakes, and oceans during initial healing, and refrain from heavy contact sports or facial treatments. Keep makeup and skincare products away from the area, and don’t twist or remove the jewelry until fully healed.
Clean twice daily with the saline solution we provide or a sterile saline spray. Gently pat dry with a clean paper towel, avoid touching with unwashed hands, and continue care until swelling and discharge have stopped and the piercing feels stable.
Yes, but disclose any metal allergies beforehand. We provide 316 surgical steel which is low-allergy; for severe sensitivities we can arrange implant-grade titanium or niobium. Our piercers will recommend safe options and document your choice before proceeding.
